ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

PIYESTA PINOY IS BACK IN-PERSON on June 11, 2022

In celebration of the 124th Independence Day of the Philippines, the Philippine American Cultural Foundation (PACF). in partnership with the Village of Bolingbrook, The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, the sponsors, vendors, partner organizations, volunteers and the organizing committee of the 2022 Piyesta Pinoy invite you to attend the annual Philippine Festival.

DATE: Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM CDT
The Roger C. Claar Performing Arts Center 375 W Briarcliff Rd, Bolingbrook, IL

This will be the 9th year of the biggest Filipino American festival of culture, music, arts, games, and food in the Midwest. We are all looking forward to being outdoor again in person. There will be at least 6 food vendors that will be serving food starting at 11am. Visit our sponsors, non-food vendors and partner organizations under the big tents located around the park. Just like in the past, there will be a parade of costumes to open the event starting at 11am. Performances will be at the beautiful Roger C. Claar performing arts center in Bolingbrook. We are very happy to announce the guest celebrities who will be performing at this year’s Piyesta Pinoy. The headliner will be Jay R a Filipino-American singer, songwriter, record producer, actor and model, dubbed as the Philippines King of R&B. Jay R was the first celebrity guest of Piyesta Pinoy in Chicago’s Navy Pier back in 2012. We are very excited to have him back ten years after as we go back live in-person again.

Performing during the opening of the celebrity segment will be The Filharmonic, an LA-based a cappella group of Filipino-American youngsters who were featured in NBC’s hit musical competition, The Sing-Off, has much to sing about. After the show the 5-piece vocal group kept the momentum rolling with countless national and international shows, they were featured in the Universal Pictures hit movie, Pitch Perfect 2, and set off a viral sensation with their Late Late Show appearances. They consist of vocalists V.J. Rosales, Joe Caigoy, Trace Gaynor, Vocal Bass Jules Cruz, And Beat Boxer Niko Del Rey.
